About me and my cats....history

Hi, My name is Marie Westerlund and I would like to welcome you the world of Rackarkattens Abyssinians.
I hope you will enjoy the ride..

I started in 1988 with a sorrel male, (GIP & IC Burrens Red Beauty). He was an excellent baby-sitter. Before I had showed him on a show, I had only visited one,
and after that I thought I could not show him because he was to dark but everyone told me - the darker the better.
I showed him a couple of times and it went well, but he never liked it. I decided to let him meet a queen,
and that was the start of everything.

I bought a daughter from a litter where Burre was mated to a sweet Australian imported queen,
Abbana Vanessa - Her name was - IC Killebackens Patricia, sorrel. Patricia was later on mated
with Brunnbäckens Kim and from that litter I kept my first Rackarkatt.

- In my cattery today there are -

SC Rackarkattens Moccalina Delightful (-04), fawn female - will be spayed soon
IC & CFA CH Ferragamo D'orPtitPrince (-09), ruddy male, neuter
CFA CH Rackarkattens Xantilla Delightful, sorrel female, (-10)
Rackarkattens Miss Anisetta (-11), sorrel female
Rackarkattens Fudgy Vanilla (-11), fawn female

The cats in my cattery are always tested for PRA and PK before they are used for breeding.
The cats that have my catteryname Rackarkattens is born and brought up in my bedroom. I do not place my breeding cats anywere else than in my home. Whats then the point of breeding, you never get the feeling, knowing the cats/kittens and not getting any more experience. You learn as long as you live.
